Order a kitchen, fitted wardrobe, solid timber door or furniture piece without commissioning a house. We also make ceilings and floors, with our own kiln and joinery workshop supporting the work.
Every piece of timber we use is dried to a stable moisture content before it is machined.
Undried timber shrinks, twists, splits and opens joints once it is inside a warm finished house. Drying it properly takes time and costs money, which is exactly why it is the step most often skipped. We run our own kiln so we control it, and because we are also the ones who have to come back and fix a warped door, we have every reason to get it right.

Choose the work you need
For an existing home, a new build or a separate furniture order. Each quotation starts with the actual dimensions and scope.
Solid timber doors and frames
Panel doors, flush doors, double main entrance doors and matching frames.
Made in mahogany, cypress, meru oak and other species, cut to your openings rather than to a standard size. Because the timber is kiln dried first, the door still closes properly after the first dry season. That is the single most common complaint about joinery in Kenyan homes and it is entirely avoidable.
What to send for a quotation
Send opening sizes, quantities and whether frames are included.
Say which doors face outdoors and whether you need installation.
Attach a reference for the panel layout or glazing you want.
Agree the timber, door thickness, frame, finish, ironmongery and fitting scope before comparing prices. A door leaf alone is not the same order as a fitted door set.
Exposed timber, panelled and coffered ceilings, with cornices and lighting details.
From a simple lined ceiling with a shadow line to full timber panelling and coffered detail in a sitting room, all in timber we dried and machined ourselves. We design them with the electrician's layout in hand, so downlights, speakers and curtain boxes are planned in rather than cut in afterwards.
What to send for a quotation
Send the ceiling area or a room plan, with units.
Include photographs of any existing ceiling and a reference for the style.
Note lighting positions, access panels and whether you need removal of an old lining.
Ask for the lining, supporting work, edge details, finish and installation to be identified separately. Tongue-and-groove boards, exposed timber and coffered ceilings are different scopes.
Solid and engineered timber floors, staircases, skirtings and architraves.
Laid on a properly prepared screed with the right moisture allowance, so boards do not cup or open into gaps. We also build and finish timber staircases, balustrades and handrails to match.
What to send for a quotation
Send room areas and photographs of the current floor.
For stairs, include the existing layout and the parts you want made or replaced.
Say whether the work includes skirtings, thresholds, handrails or a matching finish.
A floor quote should state the boards, preparation, fitting and finishing included. Existing surfaces need assessment before installation work is priced.

Bring a new-build kitchen plan or photographs of the kitchen you want to replace. We can discuss the cabinets on their own or as part of a wider fit-out. Materials, worktops and fittings need to be agreed for the particular order.
What to send for a quotation
Send a rough kitchen plan or wall lengths and room height.
Mark doors, windows and appliance positions, and say what is staying.
List base units, wall units, pantry storage or an island, with a reference for the finish.
Ask for cabinet materials, fronts, hinges, drawer fittings and installation to be named in the quotation. Confirm separately whether worktops, appliances, plumbing, electrical work or removal of old units are included.
Built-in storage planned around the room and the way you use it.
A wardrobe for a family bedroom may need a different arrangement from storage in a guest room. Start with the space available and what must fit inside. We manufacture and install the agreed units through our workshop.

Send the width, height and depth of each opening, with units.
Describe the balance of hanging space, drawers and shelves you need.
Include room photographs and say whether the house is occupied.
Compare the internal layout and fittings as well as the door appearance. Final site measurements and an agreed layout are needed before manufacture; rough dimensions start the enquiry.

Order a single piece or discuss several pieces for a home, office or guest property. You do not need a TimberStone construction contract. Send dimensions and a reference so we can agree the material, finish and scope before quoting.
What to send for a quotation

Send dimensions and a reference photograph or sketch, identifying it as a reference.
Tell us about delivery access and whether it needs to match existing timber or furniture.
A made-to-order quotation depends on dimensions, material, construction, finish and delivery. Reference images help explain a request; they are not photographs of TimberStone work. Production and delivery timing are confirmed for the particular order.
You can enquire about joinery on its own. Send photographs and rough dimensions of the existing rooms, and tell us whether the house is occupied. We will confirm what needs a site measurement and what the quotation includes. For Nanyuki and surrounding locations such as Timau or Naro Moru, include the exact destination so transport and installation can be assessed for your order.
